Persistent Energy Group - Ghana

The Persistent Energy Group in Ghana, is the largest off-grid solar company in the country and proudly employs over 250 local staff, providing access to productive assets such as solar home systems to tens of thousands of Ghanaians.

PEG provides solar home systems on credit to households in West Africa. Using a unique financing approach, called ‘pay-as-you-go’ financing, they enable customers to replace their perpetual spending on poor-quality polluting fuels, such as kerosene, with solar energy that quickly becomes an asset the customer owns.

The challenges of working in areas without roads, running water or electricity are immense.  PEG’s founders have spent 7 years working with off-grid communities in West Africa, and know what works and what does not. They use a mixture of technology, local partners and service centers around the country to make sure products get to our customers on time and at low cost.
